Nervous System Regulation: What It Means and Why It Matters

Your nervous system is the master control center of your body. What Dysregulation Looks Like

A dysregulated nervous system can show up as chronic anxiety or a feeling of being "on edge," difficulty sleeping or staying asleep, digestive issues, emotional reactivity or numbness, difficulty concentrating, chronic fatigue despite adequate rest, or a persistent feeling of being overwhelmed. Your autonomic nervous system has two primary branches: the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) and the parasympathetic (rest-and-digest).
